  1. Hey y’all,

Looking to get a bike I can use for gravel touring (and for commuting), wondering your thoughts on this listing.

Seller is claiming “*Many upgrades and recent components*” but from what I can see, everything i stock aside from the rear rim/cassette (mavic allroad elite), saddle, and bars.

Asking price is $1100, which seems steep to me, would $800 be a good deal?

  2. $800 is pretty good to me. But other folks might still say that’s high. The real questions are, do you want to ride that bike, does it fit you, and do you have the cash?

    Nice looking bike
    Would be nice for gravel
Not too sure about bike packing
I don’t see any mounting points on the front fork
    It has mechanical disc brakes
    Mismatched wheels
I’m sure you could get it for lower than 800$

Oh god yes. Great bike and they actually did make some useful upgrades. I try to focus less on “is this a bargain” and more on “is this the right bike for your needs.”

I bought a 2013 warbird used for $1000, put 10,000 miles of road, gravel, commuting, and bikepacking on it, then sold it for $1000. They’re wonderful bikes, endlessly useful and dependable. And retain value quite well.
