Paid $100 for a used Raleigh Venture, did I goof?

I just moved to a school where bike is the main mode of transport for a lot of students. I’m broke and live in an area where bike theft is super common so I had a low budget of like $100-150. Most of the good bikes have already been snapped up at this point, finding a good used bike for that money is difficult because there’s thousands of broke incoming students just like me. So I chanced upon this Raleigh Venture on Fb marketplace and snapped it up immediately thinking that I got a good deal, but after reading up online I realized that this is a cheap bike bordering on being a bike shaped object. Did I overpay? Should I just sell it on to the local bike shop?

I’ve gotten it checked there already, brakes are fine, tires look good, gears shift well. The campus is not super hilly and my main use will be on paved sidewalks and roads.
