Today, my chain came off, and almost at the same moment, I heard a small metal part fall. I’m not sure if it was something that was already on the ground or if it belongs to my Canyon Grail.

I think it’s the little covering on the chainstay that acts to prevent the chain from rubbing that spot
canyon chainsuck plate. Also I recommend buying a chain catcher
This is a chainsuck plate. Prevents your chainstays if you loose your chain.
Tragically I know this part too well because it fell off when my chain slipped!
