It’s not a bug – the chain isn’t perfectly tensioned all the time as it is with deralieur so there’ll be always some kind of play on a chainring.

time for new cranks, these kinds if cranksets dont hold up well to fixed gear

Instead of moving it back and forth, try sideways… if it gets moving, times to check the bottom bracket, if it doesn’t, so might be the chain tension, which isn’t a bad thing. Just make sure your driveside crank is adjusted and won’t fall off while riding…

It seems to me that the cranks are moving *without* the chainring? If that’s the case, you need new cranks.
Otherwise, it’s either chain slack (but doesn’t seem like it) or bottom bracket play. Check the cranks for lateral wiggle.

If you’d hold the camera steady for one fucking second we could tell what’s happening ;p
It’s hardly noticeably that the chainring doesn’t move at all while the cranks do. If you keep riding this you’ll end up with a freewheel chainring.

Replace the cranks. Looks similar to the issue I’ve had with cheap cranks. Basically the spindle gets disconnected from the spider.

Have the same sorta play w the cranks but it’s not as bad as this.

New cranks. Imo, these aren’t the best for fixed riding as they come loose. The quality on these is also non-existent.
