Im thinking of buying this bike used, is it realistic to make it into a gravel bike without breaking the bank?
Its a Trek 7500 with Deore drivetrain.
Im thinking of changing the fork out for more gravel specific and changing to dropbar.

That bike is already most of the way there for being a good gravel grinder. I would find a rack that works with disc brakes and I would swap out those fenders for something a lot closer to the wheel. If you found a rigid 29er fork, it would keep the front end as high as the suspension was intended to but you might also want to just keep the suspension depending on how rough the gravel your planning to grind is.

if you decide to install a drop bar, it’s not just extra for the handlebar but you’ll have to get shifters and brakes .. those are expensive
