  1. But you cheated and put it in the center of the rim. That’s not fair.

As a guy who pushed tires onto rims with my thumbs for many years, get into the habit of using the heel of your palms. Arthritis will thank you later.

  2. Well done Sir! I think if those Budweiser commercials were still around where we pay tribute to someone who does something well… you should get your commercial!

It’s like magic tricks. Everyone is focused on the last few seconds to see what the “trick” is, but the actual hand sleight is long completed when you placed the first bead on the center.

It’s dependent on the rim and the tire. It took me over 2 hours to get 28mm Conti GP5k TL’s (before the TR) onto Bontrager Aeolus rims.

My FFWD RYOT77 deep carbon rims? I can slap them on by hand in minutes. The internal width is 3 mm wider than the Bontrager and the slope of the rim is inward, making it easy to slide tires on.

  5. I can do this, but it takes two humans to get it done. Pushing that final bit of bead over the rim is, well, fucked.

  6. I do this exact combo daily at work with no tools as well, it def takes some technique. Nice crocs?
