I currently have a Speedmax CF 8 Disc from 2022. https://www.canyon.com/en-be/speedmax-cf-8-disc/3059.html
Which has nice DT SWISS wheels but a mechanical ultegra di2.

I'm tempted to buy the new version with 105 di2, swap the wheelset and powermeter cranck and sell the old one. What's the bike still worth on the second had market? Paid €4500 back in 2022, so i was thinking €2300. So it would be basicly an investment of €1700. Is this realistic?

  1. Looks like the same frame with a different cockpit, fork and a fairing on the steerer tube. The newer one also comes with stock alu wheels. I’d say you’re fine with your bike.

  2. Has yours been repaired for the recall?

I have the same bike from 2023. I am considering a swap to SRAM etap for this season and then buying a new giant trinity frame with the refillable bottle later in the year and selling my speedmax frame after taking all the parts off. SRAM etap is now fully wireless with no need for a blip box when using wireless blips (even for a 2x system in my understating) due to a derailleur firmware upgrade.

I need to do a new bottom bracket soonish anyways since mine has about 9000 miles on it.
