Hello, I've got an older Peugeot bicycle I snapped the rear derailleur on. I'd like to get a budget replacement, and would appreciated any assistance in selecting the right one. The cassette has five cogs, three cogs up front. Thank you in advance!

Does it have friction shifters? If so, any 5 speed derailleur will work fine. You will need to straighten your gear hanger as well, its badly bent. If you have no experience with this, I’d recommend taking it to a bike shop. Since it’s part of the frame and can’t be replaced, if you get it wrong you will have ruined your frame… A bike shop will have the correct tool for the job.
