I picked this up from a neighbor that was moving to try and get into a new form of exercising. I’ve never used a road bike (only BMX) so this is all new to me. The tires currently don’t hold air and I’m sure I’ll need to get it serviced, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. It’s not that I don’t trust bike shops, but I’m skeptical of prices because of my inexperience. Any idea of what I should realistically expect to pay for a service on this bike? If it’s too much I’d probably just sell it as is.

The tires may need new sealant is why they are not holding air should be a simple fix but if you’re taking it in anyway having them service it would be a good idea. You can ask that not replace anything and confirm with you price before any work starts and if you choose not to have it done only pay for labor.
