Rowan Atkinson is great but the Johnny English films are awful, but they are hits everywhere except in the US. I just found them to be the same tired joke over and over again like the attempt to do a new Get Smart movie in the US. They have just one idea and they keep pounding it into the ground.

I just realized how much I want to hear Rowan Atkinson reading audio books.
One can tell, with ease, that he is the smartest person in the room – by a mile.
For me he will always be rhe Black Adder.
Atkinson: Humble, Polite…and a (real life super car racing driver). A very talented Man, A pure Englishman, a Cherish.. From the early "not the 9" to animated "Bean"… extra ordinarily talented Man. …hardly worthy of Norton. … RADA bows before Atkinson. ….(Royal academy of dramatic arts|).

The part when Atkinson tells the story of the man who thought he looked like Mr. Bean but didn't believe he was one and the same person reminds me of the scene in A Hard Days Night when the woman come up to John Lennon and says "You're him" and he says "No I'm not" , "Oh but you look just like him!" nobody ever saying exactly who "him" even is.
Sheer class, bloody funny and so very rare these days.
