The Eurovelo 1 heading south from Westport which passes East of Croagh Patrick and then takes quiet country roads to go over the Sheeffrey pass and down into the Doolough valley before running down the side of Killary fjord, past the Aasleagh waterfall and then into Leenuan

Good man. Following you for tips as I get my gear together for some touring. Don’t know if you covered this in your vids yet but just ordered an adapter from AliExpress for type 2 car charger to three pin. Hoping it works for charging on tour.

My eldest lad is staying near Westport, hopefully will get out there at some point this year. Scotland is the same from a landscape point of view, stripped bare by sheep, cattle and deer. How much different it would look if we had had a revolution like the French?

Very nice. A minor correction is that the mountain at c 8.10 is Devilsmother rather than Ben Creggan (which you later passed to the left near Delphi Lodge). On a previous video you mentioned you might go back to Asturias. I have some albeit limited experience there but a trip that went through the various “puertos” (border passes) back and forth between Asturias and Leon , eg Tarna, San Isidro, La Cubilla, Somiedo, etc would have great scenery but lots of vertical (make sure the bike is charged 😀). You’d have a large number of national parks, e.g, Ubiñas La Mesa, Somiedo, Babío y Luna, etc
fyi we call it lew-Iss-berg 😉 .. also, past Louisberg and old head, there's the ferry to Clare island, then road goes south the the highly visitable silver strand, very wild-campable. we saw a pod of orca there a while back. but it's a 'lobster pot', you'll have to come back the same way
Last September I rode from Lennaun to Louisburg to Westport. Lennaun to Louisburg was the best part of the ride very beautiful. Little traffic
