Its a high octane episode of Astonishing Glasgow this time with the story of the city’s links to the Monte Carlo rally.
I have been house bound for three weeks after knee surgery so I decided to dig into my hard drive and produce a video completely from my archive.

Loved it, didn’t actually realise the Monte had been in Glasgow as often as it had. I managed to refrain from listing out the cars as they appeared, I didn’t want to come across as a complete nerd.
Also loved the various plates on the wall, Ghostbusters, Smokey & The Bandit, Back to the Future, Magnum PI, Blues Brothers and the Dukes of Hazzard, a Man after my own heart.

Well, to our Resident Historian, I liked it a great degree until I heard the very sad news at the end. I like my father and three brothers are automobile enthusiasts. It would be a pure honor to run in, or to have such an famous rally start at my home town. Sometimes it's not about money but more about pride in one's hometown. Thank you.
