      I heard in my local radio station that microplastics are also causing men's genitals to grow smaller throughout the generations. If there's one thing to convince insecure men to join the fight against microplastics, then this would be it.

      I'm afab and I have a beard. I'm worried that when I finally make it to the endocrinologist he's gonna look at me and say "you're so full of plastic that you've destroyed your hormones"

      Actually they're LESS dangerous than you think. The whole reason they exist is because they are resilient and don't break down, whuch also means they do little or nothing. There us almost no evidence they do anything negative to us at all. This is pure hype.

      In addition to nanoparticles of plastic you also have nanoparticles of wood and rock in your body and it deals with all of them quite well as it has for millennia. 🙂

      Its so hard to get off plastic due to the high population and global supply and customer base. Maybe some corn plastic substitute can be cheaply mass produced. Its hard to see how to get away from oil based plastic.

      the irony is if this was so important, it wouldent be on something for $ to watch early i understand need to make money but litterly crawling right into the very maw of the system that claim to want to destroy.

      The scary thing is that there is an exponential increase in microplastic and that even if we halted all production now, we will still have ever increasing levels of it stuck in our organs. But of course we are not halting production and so we think it's bad now….. Unless a major breakthrough happens in environmental remediation, it's going to get a whole lot worse at an exponential rate.
