  1. Like so many, I'm so happy for Kuss and hope he puts Durango on the map. He can probably hear the cheering from all of us across the pond where he's at. Time for JV to recognize his gift and provide a little payback and support for what is multiple years of tireless teamwork and sacrifice. Please Jumbo, support your GC and put him on the podium at the end, you guys have this!! The goal was for JV to win the Vuelta, Kuss bleeds for JV, respect the sacrifice.

  2. There were rumors about Ineos buying Quickstep and taking Remco for the grand tours, or at least to make Quickstep a solid GC team around Remco in the grand tours, and not for classics and sprints like it was years ago. But after Remco's massive failure today, those things seem more improbable than ever.

  3. I stopped following road racing a couple years ago, but GC Kuss is singlehandedly bringing me back! Love to see a humble nice guy and American doing so well, especially when he's beating down less likeable riders like Remco "LeBlame James" Evenepoel

  4. What a pleasant shock and surprise TBH. Never would have thought Remco would ever finish that far behind the stage winner. And wow Jumbo. This could easily setup a 1-2-3 finish for Sepp-Roglic-Vingegaard incredible.

  5. Remco is still very young, he'll be back I'm sure. But this really shows how strong of a team Jumbo-Visma really is, and it seems they'll be even stronger next year. Phew, glad I'm not competing against them!

  7. This guy sounds like he’s reading me a nighttime chapter of Winnie the Pooh.

“Kuss is safely in first place, don’t you worry. Here’s some hot milk. Just lay back on the pillow. There you go. Nighty night.”

  8. seriously, it was never “supposed to be a battle between Roglic and Evenepoel”. The Belgian is not a high altitude climber which should really not be a surprise
