In this evenings video we do some voluntary work with the @canalrivertrust We are in Sheffield tackling a menacing Buddleia bush. Buddleia is an invasive species in the UK and Britains canal provides a thriving environment for it. So we set off on the Sheffield and Tinsley canal to do our voluntry work. If you want to get involved in this kind of work be it gardening, pruning or Lock keeping you can look at the Canal River Trust website for more details. Get our enjoying Britains canal network

Great video ..Martin and Marcus…well done guys ❤😊
Much respect for the CRT. It's unfortunate that they're responsible for so much of the repair and upkeep with so little assistance from the government.
The canals are a beautiful piece of the country's history and heritage. Just seems a losing battle trying to do so much with volunteers.
aw, Marcus looks like a cute Russian boy with that hat! You can tell he's not Russian though, he's not perpetually and deliberately kept depressed and angry because of his (Russia's) toxic government.
Oh my… Marcus' hair issue reminds me of the Budgie song, 'The Rape of the Locks', even though that one's about canals.
Are Martin and Marcus the best Manchester and Sheffield collaboration since the days of Joy Division/Cabaret Voltaire concerts?
Great ickle video, Martin and the crew 👍
Thanks 🙂
nice Wednesday evening surprise 🙂
Top guy Marcus, hair or no hair it doesn't matter, he is a contributor to good causes
You're hard grafters you two lol
Is that the same Canel and location they used to film scenes for the Movie The Full Monty ?
Well this is different! War on a Buddleia bush! What a great organisation to volunteer with. Our canals are a part of our great British history and even though very few if any still move goods, it's a wonderful leisure resource. That was a job well done, and I could see it was quite therapeutic. I'm glad you had a decent brew on hand with some grade A biscuits. It was quite a change seeing you all floating on water and not crouched over sloshing through it. Lovely video guys, I really enjoyed it!
Look at Markus with his shiny new hair cut. It suits him.
canals in greater manchester need working on
Wherever that was with all the kegs, looks like my kind of “volunteer” work-lol.
Marcus always gives me hope for the future.
Top stuff fellas, keep up the good work!👍✌
Nice one lads.
Looks fun & interesting 🤔🚂🚂🚂
Great video(s). Wonder how many of those loppers fall into the canal 🙂 Perhaps you folks carry a super magnet to fish them back out.
My wife and I plan to hire or go on a trip down a UK canal next time we come over there, good job they never got rid of them thinking they would never need them anymore after trains and motorways. Watched a few people that travel the canals in their boats, looks like a great way to enjoy some pubs and restaurants while seeing places.
Excellent video. Love canals and that bridge was incredible. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
That was great again Martin looking forward to your next video.
Well done. Am doing double-takes seeing a short-haired Marcus!
I am at odds with this simply because some paid employees of the CRT are paid six figure salaries and contractors procurement contracts are obscenely over priced.
Otherwise hats off to those who volunteered
Well done to all of you. Great thing to do to help. And you still had a cup tea and a biscuit. Where was James🤔😊
Bacon Lane Bridge, over 200 years old and no weight restrictions, built to last!
Those shrubs are absolutely horrible to get rid of, but then again the day was amazing different perspective Martin. Impressed with the tea break. 😊.
Ps. Sorry James meant the tea and biscuit time🫢
Why don't they have a wood chipper on board, save taking up space.
You can shred the branches right away
Marcus looks aggro with short hair
Volunteers are indispensable everywhere, without them a lot of work remains undone.
You are both doing well. 👍
Like the look of that 🤩🧱🤙🏽
