New to all this and am trying to put on an Ortlieb rack. The directions were a bit brief and kinda hard to interpret. Curious if I got it right.
Pic 1: overall view
Pic 2: lower fork mounts. Do I put it on the top or bottom mount? I assume one is for fenders (which I don't yet have), just not sure how it should be oriented.
Pic 3: are the support posts hooked up correctly? They also look like they could be installed on the opposite side from where they sit currently. Not sure which is preferred.
Pic 4: what are these little pieces for? To plug holes in the mounts I'm not using?
Any feedback is much appreciated!

Have you used loctite 222 or 223 on all those threads? If you havent, you should. Same goes for water bottle cage bolts.
If it doesn’t move around and it’s not rubbing against anything, it’s likely good!
I’d strap some test loads on it before I’d trust it with any precious cargo, but otherwise great job!
