I’m trying to convert my BB30-bike to take a BSA threaded bottom bracket with 24mm spindle. I bought the sram BB30 to BSA Adapter.
Looking into the bottom bracket shell, I see that the shell itself isnt completely drilled out. There is a part of the shell a little to the right with a smaller diameter than the rest of the shell. By the looks of it I cannot press the adapter in, as it won’t go through the narrower part. Does anyone have any experience regarding this?
Frame is 2015 Cannondale CAADX. Included photos of the shell and my adapter.

Yeah because that’s a PF30 adapter. not a bb30 one.
I prefer the Wheels MGR BB with adapters built in. I use those on my PF30 bikes, esp because I use Shimano cranks.
You could also just get the 24mm adapters that go into a bb30 BB, and use the bb30 bearings. I had one bike like that. That’s easier to reverse since the adapters don’t press into the BB, they press into the inside of the bearings.
You need one that threads together, even if it is a bb30 adapter the frame only has to be 42mm holes each end, it doesn’t have to remain that all the way though
