I've had this bike over 25 years, bought it from my friend who managed my local bike shop, it was a project he built for himself.

80s vintage Trek brazed chromoly frame. 90s vintage 8spd 105c gruppo with Ultegra shifters/levers. 00s vintage Bontrager wheels. Custom paint in Hugger Orange ( the color of the county highway department trucks).

I have not ridden it in many years. Where I live now in rural East Texas, there is nowhere to ride safely without driving an hour – no shoulders on the roads, broken pavement, no industrial parks or public parks with pavement of any length to ride on, and my doesn't have that kind of free time to spend driving to go for a bike ride. It's been sitting on that mag trainer unridden. It is essentially the camera background for my virtual meetings when I work from home.

I'm not sure if this has any value to sell? Otherwise I'm thinking to strip it down to the frame and fork, maybe cut the handlebar in half, and hang it on the wall as artwork.

I love the craftsmanship that went into building it, the color, and the memories of the thousands of miles I've put on it. But I'm also at a point where I'm trying to not keep things without utility or purpose. Cycling is just not a part of my life anymore.

If anyone has a guess on a value, and tips on where to list for sale, would love to hear it. Or if you like my artwork idea and have tips on how to display it on a wall?

Thanks all.

I don’t have any info on value, but someone, somewhere would ride it. And that has has much more value than cutting it to hang it on a wall
