I have an 80s lugged CroMo Schwinn with 27 1/4 alloy rims. I know the selection of 27” tires will be limited, but I want to make a good choice. Are these Paselas ok? Any words I’d appreciate!

All of Panaracer’s products/ brands are top quality. Pasela’s are excellent tires. That’s a solid deal, I’ve seen them cheaper but not bad at all.
i have 700c paselas on a late 80’s prologue and they have been great, no issues
The best. The non-flat-protective (just ‘Pasela’, not ‘Pasela PT’ or any other modifier) is just about the most supple and fast-rolling tire you can get for under $140/tire. They are thin and fragile, though. The flat resistant, whatever they call it, is an exceptional tire, especially for the price.
edit: just saw the price for the tubes/rim tape/tires for 50 bucks… *buy that now*, but I wouldn’t assume the rim tape is correct for your rims. Still a good deal. Best tires, new tubes, 50 bucks.

Just to add to the chorus, the Paselas are great.
I’ve had a ‘76 Raleigh Super Course Mk II (last year of 27” before they went to 700c) for over 20 years and been through many tires. Been on the Panaracers for many of those years and can’t imagine changing to something else. They just work well and really suit the character of the bike.
These are outstanding tires for general road use/light trails. I’ve ridden Paselas on both 26″ and 700c. Wore the tread down to the flat rubber on 3 rear tires, no issues.
They also have a “tour guard” model with built in flat protection, I’d go with those for urban riding.
