I need help improvising a fix for this broken fender mounting hole (by bottom bracket). I have jb weld, but I’m blanking on a simple solution for a malleable piece of metal I can use to reinforce it. Something common around the house you guys can think of?
I was thinking soup can, but it's sharp. Melt steel wool into it, messy. I wanted something thin I can shape around the curve, drill and hole, and jb weld it.

Robert M Pirsig would suggest that you cut up a beercan
Aluminum can might work but it’s gonna be flimsy. If you have a c-clamp you could try the JB and then clamp it together til it sets.
Im a little confused, would you just be putting a nut/bolt thru there?
JB Weld and nylon webbing instead of metal?
So what’s it going to be
