Reminded by the new Super X drop, I realized I never posted this build. I'm a sucker for late 2010s Cannondales, so it made sense to snag this 2017 Super X frameset (never released in Korea so this is probably one of only 2 in country)
Stripped the frame, fork, bars, and crankarms. Glossy clear on everything. Driveside cable inlets were patched while at the carbon guy for a cleaner look since I'm running AXS. Built up some stupid light wheels with DT and Lightbicycle rims, wound up at 1150g for the pair.
Wanted something light, as gravel in Korea has some serious elevation changes. Fit is a bit ambitious but fire roads are far and this bike gets a lot of pavement time as well.
Got a lot of help from the mechanic that built these frames up for the US cross team. Being a Cannondale, it has lots of quirks. Luckily managed to get a decent chainline for my chosen gearing with a standard road crankset. Will have to redish the rear wheel if I ever switch to a different frameset.
I think it was just under 7kg with pedals when I checked? Will have to get it back to a scale soon.

Can you share how you stripped the paint?
Maaaan…my steel All City is lighter than this…..well….in color, of course. It’s yellow. 😁
Very nice build! How are those Light Bicycle rims holding up? I think a weight weenie build is in my future.
