I’ve noticed pilling on the seat of my Rapha Winter Cargo Bibs.
I’ve worn them a good few times, probably in bad weather conditions.
Would you say this is typical wear and tear?
If so, if I carry on using them as I have been is the material going to fail and expose the pad? Or will they just stay with a rough pilling feel and be usable for the foreseeable future?
Has anyone else had bad pilling on bibs, and if so what was the outcome and how long did they last after the pilling began, and/or are they still going without the material failing ?

Have a look at your saddle and check there’s nothing on there causing it. I suspect there will be.
Either way they will be fine, might wear through eventually but my guess is you would find this with any bibs as it’s in such a specific place.
did a 2 hour ride on some core cargo bibs and I also spot the same.
