I watched the documentary on the building of the bridge! And I had to go there and see it for myself so a year later 2017 ..I went with my wife and stood where you were. Also there used to be a visitor centre across the road but it’s not there anymore and if you would’ve gone down the road to your right it would lead to a valley with a bridge over a river with the most magnificent view of the bridge above you…it’s one of man’s most magnificent achievements in engineering!
