I wouldn’t, no. I won’t ride in lanes of traffic with cars. At the end of the day, it’s just not worth the risk to me.

you do what you have to do but at some point it’s got to be the pavement, for me

Why not? It is not like you are on a dual carriageway.

This is pretty common commuting in my american rural/suburban town (unfortunately). I’ll ride roads like this to parks or designated bike paths on most occasions.

I would ride on the sidewalk.

This looks like a typical commute to me (America). Only saw one incident through that video where I would have yelled at a driver when they passed you while in a a spot with the concrete divider making the lane a little more narrow. I would have moved over to block passing through that section. Everyone was giving you at least half a lane and nobody was passing you while there was oncoming traffic. Seemed pretty calm to me.

Yes. The A1000 has always been one of my favourite A-roads. It’s quite benign in comparison to the others. Mostly 40 and not very busy. One of the easiest routes to cycle out of London. I Just be more confident at roundabouts, take the centre of the lane at the entrance and don’t hesitate. I also suggest road worker orange hi-vis. Motorists react immediately to it in my experience.

Yeah, I’d probably avoid that.
