Hey fellow tourers! I was transporting my bike via airplane and ended up with this little bend on the fork but I’d like to understand how much this impacts the structure and safety. Any ideas? Bare in mind that I do have front paneers. Which further can affect the steering safety.

Wouldn’t ride this. Looks like it’s a steel, then you need to find someone who could drill small holes at both sides of the crack or better weld it.
From photo it’s hard to tell. If there is no crack, then it’s probably fine to ride. But you need to remove paint and check.
that ‘bend’ is 100% intentional for rotor clearance, not damage or anything…
Thank you all for the replies. I am starting to believe this is by design
Check drop out alignment . If it’s a thru axle it shouldn’t be any different/ difficult from how it was before when you try to remove the wheel. QR wheel won’t sit in the center when there is a bend. Check pics of other bikes same brand model to confirm it’s by design! An actually bent fork can be dangerous and you don’t want to assume things regarding safety
