It’s overpriced but not completely obscene considering the parts list. I’d be more prone to bite in the $500-$600 range. The seller would be a lot better off parting it out

Not even close to fair where I live. It probably wouldn’t even sell at $300

This would sell fast where I live at that price

You don’t sell that on marketplace

Fuck that guy

People either want an original stumpy or a deal on a non-original stumpy, in this case you’re paying for this guy’s taste and the exact parts he has which is a very specific buyer. I’m guessing he takes a loss on it and sells it for $5-600 to someone stoked on it or parts it out to make back his money.

Solid rig but I’m not paying $850

Nowhere near that when it was new

It would find a serious buyer in NYC being listed at $850 as a personality filter, but the actual deal wouldn’t happen for a dime over $500.
In most of the US even if it were in time capsule zero-patina condition that’s a $275 bike all day long in spite of the jewelry level handlebars & brake arms.
It’s worth more as parts on ebay.

Depends on where you live. If you’re in a big city where bikes are expensive, it’s not a great deal but it’s fine. If you’re not near a major city, then you should offer them something lower.

They should change the price again now – to $1,200 😇

Yeah that’s worth more than 1,000USD in my country.
If it fits you and you won’t have to replace anything, that’s fair price.

Don’t know why anyone would want someone else’s custom build

It’s interesting seeing varying comments. I guess it really does depend on where you live?

Yes. Paul brakes, white ind front hub, xt rear hub, xtr rd. Also a really rare and cool frame

Nah I’d rather buy an unrestored one so I can fix it up myself. Also that seems pretty marked up even with those parts.

$850 is steep but not crazy considering it looks clean and the components. Offer say $650 and try to negotiate. Most people post high and see what offers they’ll get. If he won’t budge from the $850 I’d just walk away.

At this price, this size, and the component choices,, its not an outrageous price. I would possibly fold for this as a person this would fit perfectly, maybe try to knock $100 off but would get it anyway lol

Wait a sec this is worth even half that? I have a far cleaner and original of the same bike. Was about to take it to the road with a free sign..

This dude put a lot of dime and time into this rig. 850 might be a bit high. He can prolly be negotiated with. There’s a reason he wants to ditch this whip.

PSA: Paul Components actually depreciate. Sorry!
Knosh on
The problem is the components he has there hold the most ‘value’ to someone that also would likely enjoy working/building their own bike.
So getting them to pay $850 is harder than just parting it out.
