I love my Giant Defy 2 2009 and it looks a lot like this but in red and Aluminum (Aluxx) and not all carbon like this one. I bought mine used for $300 back in 2013 and it’s still my daily commuter and I’ve crashed it a few times hard and it kept on ticking. But it don’t feel like this bike is worth it’s asking price of $500. It’s definitely before 2015 since that was when they changed their logo design. I love mine because it’s dependable, sturdy, and a workhorse and I recently upgraded the entire groupset. That cassette and chain is very grimmy for a bike that is supposed to be barely used. Ultimately, it’s up to you. But I would offer $250 tops.

I can’t see anything from that pic. I’d maybe start at the asking price and start deducting. Does it need tires, cables, chain, etc.
