I’ve made a bracket that will attach to front or rear or bike. Made to fit this 700c bike but adjustable to fit any size. Works great on my hardrock 26”.
I like the circular mounts at the attachment points. Did you make those?

I have one suggestion:
Some ribbing/treads where the split ring collar clamps onto the tubing. Maybe also add ribbing to the interior of the collars too, to “lock” in. It will likely be needed for heavy loads.
Basically, same mechanism used in those adjustable angle quill stems.
