I have an old Klein Mantra Comp frame in yellow. Rode it for a season. Actually a very capable XC bike.

Not that old but I had a 99ish Giant NRS that someone had put a long fork on (long for the time, like a 130 or something, maybe a psylo?) and it was a fun bike. Traded it in for a Fuel ex9 which was even better but I was always really nervous about the carbon rear triangle. Traded that in for an Enduro in 2009, that bike was awesome and I still have it in my basement.
Interesting to me that the SuperDeluxe has been around so long, have one now. Obviously its very different.

Rake out that norco and shrink the head tube, it almost looks kinda modern

Have a 99 Rocky mountain element T.O, unfortunately the frame cracked, going to get a yellow HARO xls r1 on Friday, to replace it. Love these old XC bikes.

This is so cool, I love old advertising. It’s direct but clever at the same time. And it’s also hilarious knowing these bikes probably couldn’t sell for $100 today. It wasn’t any of these models, but my dad had an old school “full suspension” that had a tiny coil. I think it was even fully cased in rubber like a springy hose or something lol. Rode like shit but it was my first bike and I loved commuting to school with it and just riding around the few cement trails we had in my area growing up.
