Hi! I don’t know much about bikes but I want to put a child seat on the back of a Kona with dual suspension. All my googling seems to imply that I won’t be able to because of the rear suspension bit. Before I go get a new bike… anyone know if it is possible? We have tried a front mount one but it doesn’t work. Thanks!

The only way it might work is if it mounted to the rear triangle (so riding the wheel, not the suspension – more bumpy ride for the child than the rider and a movement differential between the rider and the child). I would advise not trying it.
Surprised nobody has mentioned the [Kids Ride Shotgun Seats](https://www.kidsrideshotgun.ca/products/shotgun-kids-mtb-seat) yet. Designed for full-suspension mountain bikes just like yours.
Most kids seats are attached via a bracket on the seattube so in principle they’re just fine with suspension.
However with your bikes low top tube, bent seat tube and suspension parts it doesn’t look like there’s space on the seat tube for a bracket. Maybe if you go down a few shops and try various brackets you’ll find one.
Then you’ll have the problem that with such a low mounting point most bars will be too short and low to clear the backwheel. Some of the better makes like hamax do sell different shaped bars tto try and address this problem but even so your potential mounting points look very low.
What about the one that goes on the top tube, right behind your handlebars?
