The men’s juniors race was my favorite race of the day. So much drama with many changes in the leaders during the race. Agostinacchio has made me a fan of his today! What a daring attack at the end with a broken shoe, no less.
MVDP is in another league; he has been peerless in his performances this season despite CX not being his core focus. I believe he has earned the title of GOAT
Yeah, keeping hold of these talents is the issue; once out of Juniors they really need to be on a CX team. Look at Christen, signed for UAE, and it was likely that CX would soon be dropped. You don't expect Pauwels or Glowi-Trek to sign foreign riders, so it's down to the Roodhooft's to sign them, as seen with Viezzi/Casasola. But they can't sign them all, so a lot of talents slip through the net…..
