I bought this Bianchi Pista a few months back. It’s an aluminum frame and it’s the first I’ve ever owned.
Being a steel bike rider up until this point I’m not usually worried about a dent but I was hoping I could get some advice on if this is something I should be concerned about.
I’d appreciate any insight I can get.

I wouldn’t be worried about it unless you’re going to stand on the top tube and jump up and down on it
The general consensus is that aluminum isn’t as resilient when it comes to dents and dings as steel is.
I’ve seen aluminum crack in odd places before, and that part of the top tube is probably one of the thinnest parts on the frame
It’s impossible to say for sure, but *if* it did crack at that spot while you’re riding, that would really fuck up your day and you risk getting *really* hurt. A crack could happen at anytime, you really can’t predict when
I personally wouldn’t ride that bike for that reason alone. I wouldn’t want to think about cracking my teeth on the pavement every time I threw a leg over the bike
i’ve got a dent in the same spot on mine but it’s steel. had it 3 years no problems
Wanna bet your front teeth on it? No? Not worth it?
Toss that frame in the trash then. Sorry OP.
no problem
