I hope you guys can help me get the right answer.
My daughter has a bike with a grip shifter that is very hard to shift, even I find it hard to operate.
The derailleur is smooth as can be, cable and shifter are replaced but still no luck.
Since I'd like to take her along on some kiddy tracks she must be able to shift.
So will a trigger shifter be an answer and if so, which 6 speed shifter should I get?

for 6 speed you can only get ‘lever’ (idk what to call them) shifters which arent much better
if you want proper trigger shifters you need a 7 speed freewheel and likely a new derailleur too
I replaced our child’s school bike Gripshift with a Shimano SL TX30 6 speed trigger shifter and it’s been great! They got to grips with it very quickly and were changing gears from almost the first ride
It’s much easier than the Shimano 10 speed ‘proper’ trigger shifter on the MTB.
