  1. Fellow winter biker in Canada here! Good work!

The steam and freeze on glasses is annoying – if you have something covering your nose and mouth, it tends to shoot the hot air up into your glasses. I’ve found an over-helmet balaclava works really well – don’t cover your nose and mouth with it, leave that open – but it should make a bubble of slightly warmer air around your face, and helps prevent a lot of the fogging on your glasses, while preventing the cold from freezing the rest of your face.

  2. I’m oddly looking forward to my -25 ish rides later this week. Probably just so that I can justify having bought a ski helmet and goggles.
Biking in the cold definitely isn’t as bad or as hard as some people would make it out to be. In the end I always get to work feeling warmer than when I drive.

  3. Nice. I’m so jealous of the dedicated bike lane! I have the same gloves (they are not warm enough for me). Do you use a pair of over-pants in the winter?

Uncovering my nose prevents fogging for me.
