I’ll put you on time lapse as we uh get in the van and cross across. Okay. I love travelling one way, staying somewhere new, even staying somewhere unplanned, even unexpected. Setting out on an adventure is always a mix of excitement and certainty and today’s first leg of getting to Portsmouth with no plans of where I’m staying perfectly embodies the spirit, the plan to embrace the unplanned. As I pedal along southern England’s winding rows through industrial states, council estates and quiet villages and open countryside. There’s no fixed destination waiting for me and said my goal is to stumble upon a campsite that I don’t even know exist yet. This journey is about discovery both of the land of the people and of the freedom that comes with not having every moment mapped out of each turn of the wheel I’m reminded that sometimes the best experiences come when you let go of control and let the road guide you. Here’s to the first steps for rather the first pedal strokes of this adventure.
