My old race bike that I ended up selling to my cousin back in the day. I want it back for nostalgic reasons, he wants $500. Is it worth that? A fee on eBay for $2000-$3500 USD. I have a hard time believing that it’s worth that.

A complete sold on the bmx museum awhile back for $619 plus shipping and yeah it’s probably worth around that but if your cousin was cool they’d sell it back for around the same price you sold it to them for.

It’s worth 500, yes. This is not the multi thousand dollar complete. It is the desirable frame though. Especially if it’s at least a pro size.
I think I recognize the one on eBay. It’s been listed for at least 4 years. It started at 5 grand, claiming magnesium as the material. Then it got lowered to 3500 with the possibility that it was aluminum. The other commenter’s numbers seem more realistic than that one on ebay.
