At the beginning of COVID, I upgraded my 2010 Argon 18 Krypton with a 2020 Wilier Cento10NDR. As I hit my 40’s and Endurance bikes were all the rage back then, I figured it made sense.
Since then, I feel like I’ve optimized everything on this build, have lost 40 lbs, am a bit more athletic, and feel like I could likely find comfort on a more race-oriented frame.
Saying that, the Cento10NDR is supremely comfortable, absorbs road vibration and shock well, and doesn’t necessarily feel slow. It’s also pretty unique in these parts. Don’t see many of them around. My only qualms with it are that I’m tired of the paint job and it doesn’t look super aggressive.
I’m debating picking up a 2025 Factor Ostro VAM v2, but the risk is that it might be too aggressive a riding position or too harsh on local crap roads.
Anyone else regret going from an Endurance frame to a race frame?

Idk if you want a new bike get one, doubt the ostro will be super noticeably faster. You can probably fit wider tires on it though, which although it would be more aggressive geo potentially, wider tires would do a lot for ride quality on harsh roads
idk but drop those rims….
Please keep

Do you race your bike?
Not trying to be a jerk but really curious why you feel you want a “race” frame.
At the end of the day if you want to get a new bike then get a new bike.
I personally like having a bike that you don’t see around the local group rides. Everyone in my group has an SL7,8 or a Cervelo R something and Treks and Giants.
I’ll stick with my Basso until I can no longer ride.
Good luck with your decision.
Well…you can put it more “agressive”… SLAM that stem!
My recommendation would be to start getting rid of those headset spacers before considering a new bike.
