  1. In person does the dried tomato colour appear as a light red or a pink? Debating colour choice myself.

  2. Today, I rode my first gravel bike for the first time. The delivery to Poland took 3 days. Assembly went smoothly without any issues. It came perfectly tuned right out of the box.

Today, I covered only a small distance—20 km—which included asphalt, tiles, and some pretty challenging dirt roads with mud and rocks. The only time I got stuck was in deep sand, where the wheel sank in. Everything else was pure enjoyment: no strange noises or anything of the sort, no complaints. This bike just rides, plain and simple, without any problems. You literally just pedal and don’t have to worry about a thing. The 1×12 drivetrain system gives me enough range—against a slight wind, I was able to hit 35 km/h, and I feel like I could even reach 45/50 km/h with a reasonable cadence. Climbing hills is also a breeze; I never found myself struggling to find the right gear. Speaking of the drivetrain—it’s a top-tier mechanical setup. It’s smooth and precise, and here’s some subjective opinion: I love how it shifts. That click and the instantaneous gear change make me feel connected to the bike. My old MTB with its Altus 2×8 setup never gave me that sensation. It’s fantastic.

I’ll probably switch to a wax-based lubricant since I mostly ride in dry weather. I never intentionally go out in the rain. Plus, I don’t want my drivetrain grinding with sand or other dirt.

I also plan to convert to a tubeless setup. My old MTB suffered 8 punctures over 400 km, which was the worst. Reliable tires like the ones on the Grizl and a good sealant will solve that problem for me.

In a week, this bike will be heading to Ukraine. As I said, I’m currently in Poland for my studies. I’ll be riding with friends there, and there will be *a lot* of riding. I can’t wait for it!
