My 84 Norco was stolen from me about a month ago so I was in need of a new bike. Saw this for sale nearby for 200$ Canadian so I picked it up. I know nothing about it and was wondering if anyone could give some input on whether I overpaid or if it’s any good. Thanks!

If the seatpost moves, it should be decent. New tires, tubes, cables, housings, bar wrap, and hoods are in your future. Clean and wax the frame and check for any roughness in bearings. This bike probably could use an overhaul.
You’ve got a good frame for a start. That alone could be $200. The components are good and need servicing. There is no “price” for used bikes, but if you were shopping for a new bike of that quality you be into $1,500 or more. Hard to make a direct comparison. You can spend what you spent on that bike and get a new crank or a wheel. Get it in shape and go ride, that’ll be a nice bike all tuned up.
Seems OK to me. Shimano 105 is not high-end so probably an entry level Bianchi. Having fricition shifters is nice since you can use any derailleur in the market, so lots of flexibility. I guess it is worth the money, however you might not get that when selling it.
Saw this exact one on FB Market Place or Kijiji, can’t remember. Looked decent, I just didn’t need any more projects. I think she’ll clean up nicely.
That is a super nice $200 bike.
I would lose the biopace rings, replace chain and cassette while at it. I would also grab some bar end mounts for those shift levers. Then of course, tires, tubes, brake pads, brake hoods, tape, cables, housings.
Nice bike I have a white one I got for free
You’ve got such a goodie! i’ve got for 300 cad Concorde road bike, very mint condition…barely used i would say, even tires was original straight from 89 😏 so we have a lot of work with this used old bikes , but riding experience and maintenance process is very exciting!
Yes worth it for 200 clean it up ..overhaul.
Vintage lugged bianchi with vintage 105? Well it’s going to need a good cleaning and lubing, tires and bar tape but yeah. Awesome find for $200
$200 CAD, so $147 USD. Good deal for a quality vintage bike, just give it some love and grease and enjoy.
