The death of cycling on Eurosport – and the £6.99 subscription that came with it, replaced by a £30.99 a month TNT paywall in its place – might have felt like the final nail in the coffin for some of you, but there are ways to soften the financial blow slightly and save money on other cycling-related regular payments.

Since Strava banned all url links it has become useless to me. They have pissed off so many users with their actions in recent years they won't be getting a penny anymore.

Mostly F'-ing American companies taking over and buying up everything, it's all around you.These broadcasting companies are all American, Warner Bros. Discovery and TNT. These companies brought down GCN from what they were. The problem is that the original owners of these companies sold out for big money, they are the greedy SOB's in the world, they don't care about common people. I'm sick and tired of the American way. As a Canadian I have boycotted American cycling products for many many years because they hike up their prices far too high, my DNA is in Europe even though some large European cycling companies are also destroying the cycling industry. These sick money magnets are destroying everything they touch. I have no desire to own a S-Works or Trek or Scott because they have brain washed people to think their bikes are the best, there are many other bike brands that are just as good if not better. Let's boycott America together.
Cut all my subscriptions just watch the highlights on YouTube can't afford £400 a year on sport
Stick with British Cycling UK if you want to race and/or you can put up with their scummy association with Shell
Switch to CyclingUK if you don't race and you'd rather support an organisation that actually works towards making cycling safer and available to everyone.

I have none of those subs and I’m fine with going outside on my bikes. I will watch highlights as to be honest the racing has not been the greatest lately.

Buy stuff directly from China. My Yoeleo R-12 cost $4500 with Ultegra Di2 and Elite Drive wheels and is just as good as $16,000 S-Works Tarmac SL8.
I stopped Strava Premium when they hiked up their prices. I then halted Zwift when they went through their last price restructure. I've sold half my cycle wears on vinted. I loved the GCN pay to watch, and this latest TNT is a proper death nail. I am clinging onto rod cycling by my finger nails…. If the government pushes for cycle tax/insurance, then it'll be bye bye.
I do create a training plan on my own by evaluation existing plans from Garmin, Strava, MyWhoosh, Youtubers and Zwift. Fortunately that I am into cycling just for recreation, keep myself being fit, not for racing because I am too old. Most of subscription in the video, however, I have never spent money on that. All I need is spared parts for my bike maintenance, which cost me quite a lot in a year.
You didn’t mention savings from consolidating your virtual ride app with your training plan/analysis. With its acquisition of indieVelo, TrainingPeaks will have TP Virtual included in its Premium subscription. I will drop FulGaz (disappearing anyway after acquisition by Rouvy) and Wahoo SYSTM and consolidate on one provider. OK, so I lose access to video rides – I can cope.
Thanks for the TV tip off, just ordered mine. Cancelling my Discovery + after the world champs this weekend. I would add that TPvirtual is a good substitute for Zwift if you’re using it for training and not interested in Zwift races. I’ve re subscribed to TP
