The meeting will debate a Motion on affordable homes provision, submitted by Councillor Peter O’Brien.

Also up for debate are the Council’s car park review and Local Council Tax Support Scheme, together with a Capital Programme update.

Other agenda items include the Derbyshire Dales Local Development Scheme, a report from the Chief Executive on Organisational Resources and Resilience, the English Devolution White Paper and additional funding for the Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Services (CVS).

With respect, and given the pressures of the DDDC's Chief Executive, Paul Wilson, in trying to keep things relatively sane in this rather quirky forum, "we was working" is hardly reassuring, especially when he repeated this solecism twice. And for a good proportion of this meeting's time to be devoted to spending on audio-visual kit inspires little confidence in the Council's grasp of priorities, especially when the entire Council is about to swallowed up by an expanded County Council at the Labour Party's insistence. No wonder Mr Wilson looks so unutterably miserable all the time.
