I picked up this bike as just the frame several months ago. A combination of eBay and Craigslist parts helped me get it right. From my research it’s an 87. Ibis wanted a “production” mountain bike at a more approachable price, so they had a factory in Japan weld the frame and then did brazing of odds and ends once the frame was in the states.
