  1. Personally I would go ride and get some miles on it. That way you can figure out if there is anything you don’t like. Nothing sucks like spending money to change something and then finding you would rather have carbon handlebars, narrow/wider bars, shorter cranks, new saddle or something else to make the bike better fit you only to have spend all your money on a wheelset.

I think its better you buy a fullblod directly! Carbon fiber zipp and full Red than you can dance 🏆🚴

  3. I have one and have upgraded pretty much everything aside from the brake calipers.

I did it in this order:

    Crank arms, chainring and Bb

    Compressionless housing.

    Thru axle upgrade

    Carbon wheels

It’s like a whole different bike now.

  4. Most important and cheapest: compressionless brake housings.

Equally important, but more expensive: TRP HY/RD or similar hydraulic brake calipers.

Helpful and Not Terribly Expensive: 42+mm wide tires and tubeless conversion.

The following are things I’ve done to my Gravel X hobby builder bike (I’m assuming this is an Ambition X):
    – Wheels (~$280 Shimano WH-RX570 700C Wheelset on Jenson)
    – Crank and BB ($40 on Amazon)
    – Suspension Seatpost ($80 on Amazon)
    – Suspension Stem ($230 eeSilk) no longer installed
    – Suspension Fork (~$100 onAliExpress FTW)
    – 44T Chainring (Amazon)
    – a bunch of other crap I can’t think of offhand.

  5. Check out ‘The Bike Sauce’ on YouTube and see the upgrades he has done to some of these Poseidon bikes.
