Today I set off from the lovely town of Whalley in Lancashire and headed out on my winter bike into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The roads out here are excellent and definitely give you that feeling of cycling heaven. The destination was the Country Kitchen Farm Shop at Cracoe which is a quiet rural cafe nestled just off the beaten track along the iconic Way of the Roses coast to coast route, the food was excellent and it was reasonably priced too, a perfect stop for the keen cyclist who wants a more relaxing cafe stop !
I actually set off in search of this cafe on the 13th January 2024 but turned right at Cracoe, rather than go left, so today was the day…
And like on the last video, I was accompanied by a cycling enthusiast who wished to remain anonymous once again. But nevertheless, it was a cracking ride out with it’s fair share of hills on a challenging parcours.
I hope my videos inspire you to get out there and to go for a ride.

What a lovely video. I find there’s nothing better than winter sunshine on a dry road, but I have to say as we all know, the one thing Daz doesn’t like is a dirty bike.😂
Great viewing to enjoy your rides in the beautiful countryside we often take so much for granted.
Just a side note, today I spotted my first croucus popping out the ground and you know what that means….. SPRING is on the way 😀

Well done Daz you do make it look easy and I can understand your Mate Chris from “ cough” Froom not wanting to be shown on camera but sometimes you have to leave the Make up and high heels for another day and enjoy the ride and countryside …One the subject of the chocolate pudding and cream is there any real science that you could burn that of over the hills or say 20 hard miles ? proper cycling video, for proper people. i still haven't been out on the bike yet this year as the cold plays havoc with my chest and asthma, its warming up now though so i have a ride booked in for next sat…canny wait :).
