I love these tires. I’m running 38mm [Gravdals](https://www.45nrth.com/product/45nrth-gravdal-tire-386292-1.htm), which are the same tread as Kahvas but in a smaller tire width. They’re not great at plowing through snowdrifts (no narrow tires are), but they’re absolutely fantastic on packed snow and black ice. Haven’t had a single winter wipeout in 2 years since switching over.
knellotron on
I have both Kahvas and Gravdals, for different bikes, but I haven’t installed them yet this year. My rule is if I have one sketchy commute where I wish I had them on, I’ll put them on, but it hasn’t been cold enough for that to happen. Whenever it’s snowed, it’s been gone the next day. (Wisconsin)
