Hey, I bought this bike not too long ago, while riding the front gears were not shifting at all. I continued to ride the bike till I heard something break which is my front derailleur, along with where it’s attached. It’s attached directly to the frame. The photos will show it, is this fixable?
I would really appreciate any help

You broke the braze on, not the derailleur. That frame is cooked. You should try and warranty it.

That’s a problem. Looks like the mounting bracket broke off. Did you buy this new at a shop or store? I would take it back if it’s under warranty.
Looks like that mount is welded or brazed on so not a simple fix.
If not under warranty you may be able to get a deralieur that mounts directly to the seat tube
Probably aluminium, welding is possible but needs heat treatment after that. If there is a warranty possibility, go for it. Otherwise convert to 1x 11 is what I would do
If it’s under warranty get it replaced/repaired by the manufacturer.
If not a good bike shop could probably remove the excess metal, seal it and add a clamp on derailer.
That’s a braze-on front mech, and the Mount has sheared off.
If you’re the original owner and you bought the bike new, then go back to the dealer and ask about a warranty. The mech really shouldn’t just shear off like that unless it was badly adjusted and it got caught in the chainring. I don’t know what Merida’s frame warranty is like but the likes of Trek have a lifetime warranty, so I’d look that up first.
If it’s not covered under warranty, then you can find a decent workshop to remove the remains of the Mount on the down tube and then get a band-on clamp to mount the derailleur, like this –

Just check what size you need – yours will be either 31.8mm or 34.9mm, which is the diameter of the seat tube where the mech clamps on.
Don’t even bother about trying to get someone to braze a new clamp on. It’ll ruin the frame.
The most likely cause was the derailleur mounting bolt was loose, causing the derailleur to be not parallel to the chainrings. The crank or your foot then hit the cage and broke it off at the braze-on mount.
