New Bike Day and Size Recommendation

I just did the first test ride with my new Canyon Grail CF SLX 8 Di2.
My size is 178,5 cm and my inseam is 86 cm.

I have the old Grail in size M which always felt a bit long to me especially on my Wahoo Kickr.

For the new one I was in between sizes S and M. I did a test ride in Hamburg at the Rad Race Shop and S was clearly the better size.

With size M my upper body was even more stretched than with my old Grail. It was not comfortable.

I have read many threads about being between two bike sizes. Almost everyone said go with the smaller one. They were right.
