Help me decide between 2 bikes please!

They’re about the same price…I like the sound of the geometry of the Marin (comfortable), but I’m out off by the weight of the Marin. I want something durable, but don’t also want to load up the Marin on a bikepacking / touring trip and not be able to lift it. And then I start overthinking, is the geometry of the Marin TOO comfortable? And I going to be riding super slow on flats???
Looking for something that’s fun to ride and I can use it on everything.
Please help me make my mind up or go for something completely different.

Definitely the Marin. I’m going to buy the same bike.
A few extra pounds is literally the difference between pooping or not before you go for a ride or carrying an extra water bottle. Completely unnoticeable especially with 20+ lbs of touring gear added to it, and at least 150+ lbs of you on top of that.
Comfort is everything unless you’re literally racing the tour de France, which you and 99% of people are definitely not.
Marin hands down. It has better gearing and more attachment areas.
