    Minivelo XL / too washed up for BMX / city bike spare parts build.

    GT Lola 24″

    Previous owner did a Suntour XCR air fork + Tektro hyrdo brakes (for their literal child).

    I did:

    * Seatpost: 600mm (lol) eBay generic
    * Bars: Cannondale Cruise Control 740mm
    * Stem: DMR Defy
    * Cranks: Box Five 150mm cranks + 38t chainring
    * Pedals: OneUp Alu.

  2. Coincidence: I’ve been working on a similar 24-in project myself. I’m using a $50 eBay aluminum fork that I already had. Got a 450mm seat post from Amazon (95mm in the seat tube). And a 165mm Prowheel crank. I need another wheel set so I can use disc brakes.

    So, today I tried to buy a GT Lola on Marketplace. The guy wanted $250 so I said I’ll just have to wait till I find one at the thrift shop for $50.

    Oh, and I have a 7/8 inch oak dowel secured inside the seat post for extra bend protection.

    For what it’s worth, my 9 year old loves her stock Lola, but thinks yours is extra cool. You just made her night.

    A great deal is not a deal if it doesn’t fit. But whatever, have fun, it’s x biking.
