Noticed the front wheel on my bike wasn't secured, went to tighten the quick release but it looks as though there is a nut missing right?
I ordered a new quick release skewer but can't seem to attach the nut to the end, am I missing something?
It seems to have tightened okay but I'm worried it's not secure.

The dropout is a funny design with that plate blocking it off, Looks to me like the nut should be flipped so that the smaller diameter threaded part faces inward. Can you post a photo of the other end of the QR skewer, and also the other face of that nut (i.e. the face that is currently inward)?
